Edition #7 — Liquid Gold, Exchanges & Cherries
Another week has flown by and what a rollercoaster week it has been (once again). Bitcoin/BNB/MoonPirate was JUST starting to turn a corner and Elon Musk had to drop another controversial tweet…sigh…and as a result the market took another dip. Time will tell if it will rebound quickly, but you just never know what is around the corner in this game we called “crypto”.
Ah well, the good news is that the price right now doesn’t really matter. We are here for the long term. We have the hardest working team on the Binance Smart Chain and I haven’t seen ANY project deliver as much as we have in the same timeframes. So for me, I no longer check the charts daily. I’m now checking once a week with a big fat pirate smile on my face, because I know we have so many things on that beautiful ocean horizon.
This week’s chronicles article is an absolute BELTER. In this edition I am loading up the cannons and will be firing off a few cannon balls out into the deep blue…yep, there is some FANTASTIC news if you continue reading.

Exchanges
Well last week we made it onto our very first Centralized Exchange!
Yes, of course, I am talking about CoinTiger. We chose CoinTiger as our first exchange for a few reasons:
- They have terrific 24 hour volume
- They have great sUSDT volume, which is what we are paired with
- They had a great application process with a fantastic team
- They had great promotions
- The price was good for our first exchange (still 5 figures!)
We have now been on CoinTiger for a number of days and the price has been very stable with decent 24 hour volume (around 80 Trillion MoonPirate tokens per day).

We also announced our second exchange during the week. Remember, most BSC projects don’t last longer than a day. Those who do, most don’t get listed on any exchanges. And yet, here we are, seven weeks of age, and we have two exchanges already!!!!
The second exchange is CoinsBit!
We chose CoinsBit because:
- They have amazing volume (better than BitMart)
- They are based in Estonia, which is known for being a huge crypto location
- They only have 50 or so tokens listed, which we think is a smart move
- Price was good (still 5 figures!)
We can’t announce the CoinsBit date (due to NDA), but it will be here soon.
Exchange Overview
Now that we are on exchanges, I thought it would be good to give an “Exchange 101” in this edition. Firstly, I am no expert in this area and I’ve learnt a lot myself over the past week. I have also taken a lot of information from other members in the MoonPirate core team and have even borrowed some of their wisdom below.
So CoinTiger and CoinsBit are centralised exchanges. This provides a new/comfortable entry point to investors in a familiar setting. If all investors were familiar with decentralised systems (i.e. Pancakeswap/Metamask/TrustWallet) then we probably wouldn’t even need centralised exchanges. Remember, having your tokens on an exchange will mean you also don’t passively earn any tokens, as well as not able to vote in the communtiy governance system as the tokenomics are not at play. As MoonPirate and our brand grows, this will encourage people to move their tokesn off exchanges to gain maximum utility of the token — and brings new persons into the decentralised system. We also have the complimentary $RUM token on the way, which is being developed to strengthen the current MoonPirate ecosystem.
However, centralised exchanges do allow people to purchase MoonPirate easily. Especially if they are unfamiliar with decentralised systems and want to purchase MoonPirate using USDT instead of BNB. Another positive of centralized exchanges is the ability to add buy and sells to the order book as a limit price that you can choose. So you add your order to the order book and then walk away, knowing you will buy/sell when the price gets to that point — nice and easy.
The price of MoonPirate can vary on exchanges too, which people can find confusing! However, over time this generally evens out. For example, lets say the price is 5% higher on CoinTiger, then swaps will catch up, and vice versa…people will arbitrage until they match.
There is pros and cons to each, but ultimately getting on exchanges will grow the number of holders we have and over time introduce people to the decentralised system.

MoonPirate Ecosystem, Tokenomics and complimentary token
As our holders grow (we are just 33 short of 90,000!), more people have questions around our ecosystem and tokenomics. So I thought it would be prudent for me to dedicate a small chapter to this.
MoonPirate is strategically building towards a greater ecosystem. The $RUM token is being developed (not yet started) as a solution to a number of challenges MoonPirate faces. The $RUM token will allow MoonPirate to continue to grow and expand the brand to provide more value — and as MoonPirate grows, the governance token becomes more and more valuable because of it. Anything that supports the growth of MoonPirate ultimately makes the governance token more valuable. The $RUM token will have very different tokenomics, and only compliment the governance token.
Therefore, $RUM token will be more of an operational token within the MoonPirate system! A good way of thinking about it for those who may not understand the basic idea of how it will be complimentary — say you hold Gold and USD currency. $MoonPirate is like the gold and USD is the $Rum. You pay for things, get paid and use USD everywhere you go, but you hold the gold — it’s not designed to be used in that way. While you might be using USD everyday to pay for things and get paid to you — the gold continues to be held and while not being used the same way as USD — continues to grow in value despite this. In our case with MoonPirate — the “gold” also gives you rights to vote within the community about the direction of various things in MoonPirate, while continuing to grow in value by itself. So the $RUM token is part of the MoonPirate system and as such, is simply associated and shared directly with MoonPirate. It can only “live” within MoonPirate’s ecosystem and not by its own means.
Some people have also asked about the $RUM token supply having a smaller supply. However, this would hurt MoonPirate as it can drive incentive to give more value to $RUM. Marketcap divided by circulating supply gives us the price of our token and this is the most important factor — whether the token is 0.00001 or $10, we want the majority of our marketcap in MoonPirate where all the benefits are and use cases for governance. $RUM will be feeding MoonPirate. Just like rum is fed to pirates :)
Speaking of total supply, while our burn is nominal, total number of tokens doesn’t matter. If you had a hundred dollars to put into a token worth one dollar, and it went up 20% you’d have 20 dollars in profit.
If you had a hundred dollars to put into a token worth .00000001 dollars and it went up 20% you’d have 20 dollars in profit.
There’s been a shift in token supply in defi to appeal to the human condition, people would rather own a million tokens then 1 token, even if they are worth the same. People want massive burns when they own millions/billions/trillions of tokens but all it would really do is kneecap the project, and give the top holders ridiculous price impact.
Once you understand value is determined by marketcap divided by circulating supply, it’s irrelevant.
So in summary, MoonPirate WILL be the token you want to hold. Of course, DYOR and this is not financial advice. $RUM will bring benefit to you as a holder of MoonPirate. There will be no incentive to buy/swap $RUMfor $MoonPirate. Think of $RUM as a token you would buy with fiat when you go to a MoonPirate bar in the future so that you can pay for drinks with $RUM instead of fiat money to get you discounts and benefits. But you won’t spend or sell your $MoonPirate for $RUM. Rather, $RUM is more likely to be sold back to fiat or put into $MoonPirate.

Grant Bogdanove — Qunitet Fighter (UFC Fight Pass)

MoonPirate Tropical IPA
Ok, listen up…we have poured our very first beer! It was just a test pour to see how it looked. The keg is now waiting for June 26, when it will be tapped and then we can cut the ribbon!
Now, I am a beer lover. I’ve tried so many…definitely in the hundreds. And I’m NOT saying this with MoonPirate tinted-glasses on, but this beer is the best looking colour I’ve ever seen. Unfortuntaely the photo is a little out of focus, but look at the colour! LIQUID GOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It just looks AMAZING. I literally can’t believe how good it looks. Yes, you can tell I’m just a little bit excited. This beer was voted/chosen by the MoonPirate core team (before our governance platform was implemented) and Catchment Brewing Co have absolutely delivered!

Lucia’s Port
Another week, another article! Hope you are all doing well and have had a good week :) We are now 7 weeks old — YAY! I must say we have come so far — I am continually impressed by everyone’s hard work. The effort and support from the community really is unmatched!
The Captain has a LOT to say this week so my port will be a quick stop! I have been busy organising one of our first community events — A MoonPirate Poker Tournament! Exciting! I am personally an avid player so for me and many of the members I believe it could be the start of something great. Obviously the first one will be the hardest to get going and after that maybe a monthly or fortnightly game would be nice to run.
I am terribly sad that it is difficult to reach all of our members due to restrictions — I do apologise but I blame PokerStars. Over time I am sure we can develop further and find a way to get everyone who is interested involved. I believe having the space to do these events also shows how great we are as a community. There have been ideas thrown around about gaming nights and other events we could also get going to target different interests — I will be happy to get these all going as we grow. These are the kind of things that bring us closer together and set us apart from the rest. That’s what bonds us Pirates.
As they are social and community events, this event and any future ones will be published on our socials. If you are not in the socials and would like to join please do let me know. If you have any suggestions to put forward for future events — again let me know. We are growing rapidly so these events will get busier as we get bigger — opportunities here at MP are always endless. Energy Drinks and Surprise Announcement #1
Well, what a week for our MoonPirate Energy Drink lovers! I am going to paste a phrase which I shared in last week’s edition:
“MoonPirate is a lot of things. We are a governance platform for crypto-liquor. We are an ecosystem full of amazing platforms and apps. We are a brand. We are digital. We are real. And we are always looking to expand, if it fits our image/brand. Some of our holders do not drink alcohol and we want to diversify and keep everyone happy. We considered all options but an energy drink suits the MoonPirate brand perfectly. Not only can it be used as a mixer for alcohol (we have lots of cool ideas in this space don’t you worry), it’s a cool “pick me up” and will be a welcome addition to our lineup.”
Well this week we delivered! Not only did our first ever governance poll come to a close (Energy Drink flavour), we also created another poll for energy drink design. Firstly, Kraken Cherry NARROWLY beat Seven Seas Original in what an absolute cracker of a race.
The second poll has just finished and White Cherry has only just beat Start Cherry to the finish line! What a race once again! These polls are quite entertaining!
Before I go any further, can I just say how good our designs are! I mean, take a look below! Rockstar, Monster and Red Bull don’t look this good!

Ok, so the White Cherry design is the winner, which will look fantastic. However, we couldn’t help but feel a little sad for Star Cherry and also Seven Seas Original, which both lost by a whisker.

We have decided to choose the top two in each poll! Which means we will have Kraken Cherry flavour in the White design, and, Seven Seas Original in the Star design! That wasn’t the plan but the voting was so close and we like to give the community what it wants!

Note: there will be some subtle improvements made, mainly around making the label more “printer friendly” and also changing the text in the bottom right hand corner.
Next, I give you Energy Drink #2 — Seven Seas Original
Note: As the Star pattern is no longer being used for “Cherry”, we have changed the colour to Blue, which suits “Seven Seas” perfectly!
Note2: there will be some subtle improvement made to this one too. Same changes as Kraken Cherry (but with different text in bottom right hand corner) and the logo is overlapping the text which will be fixed.
Above, you can see the Seven Seas can, “on the moon”. Yes, it’s in the red colour, so you’ll have to use your imagination for now to picture it in blue :)
We have also put our Kraken Cherry can in amongst some of the other well known energy drinks. I’m going to be honest, OURS looks the BEST!
So there you have it, not one, but TWO energy drink flavours coming your way. We will be making this order within the next 24–48 hours!!!!

Surprise Announcement #2
Ok, the second announcement…
MoonPirate now has a HeadQuarters!!!!
Lots of exchanges like companies/projects to have an official address, not to mention it was needed for our very own crypto-fueled Energy Drink! (our address needs to be on the can).
So we took the plunge!

Surprise Announcement #3
Now, we do have a few more surprises up our sleeve, that we can’t drop just yet. To be honest, I wasn’t even going to drop this one today. It’s still around a month away, but I want us to shill this hard for a month!!!!!
MoonPirate is releasing an app to Android and Apple stores. It will be called MoonPirate AR.
AR = Augmented Reality
Oooohhh sounds exciting? You bet.
Basically, users will download the app onto their smart phone. The app will have a little intro screen and then open the camera on your phone. With the camera, you will point it at the MOONPIRATE LOGO on the Energy Drink can…or…MoonPirate Tropical IPA can (near future hopefully!!)
And, like magic, the MoonPirate logo will come to life in real-time! It will literally start moving and talking like a pirate right in front of your eyes!!
This is cutting edge stuff. I have seen the working demo and it’s crazy!!
I have really only seen this once before with a Snoop Dog bottle of red wine! See video below:
But our MoonPirate logo will look much better! We have even hired a professional pirate impersonator to do the voice! And the logo’s mouth will move in sync with the words!
MoonPirate is real. We are a a brand. And we are about introducing digital concepts to these real world products.
MoonPirate AR will technically work on the logo anywhere! Even if it’s printed on a piece of paper or possibly even on your MoonPirate merch! So it’s not just limited to our energy drink cans and beer cans.
Plus we can update this app and add more intutive ideas down the track!
Remember there is HEAPS going on at MoonPirate HQ and we are so glad to have everyone on board this pirate ship!
