Edition #11 — Pirate Cove + Exciting Announcements
Hi everyone!
MoonPirate is now three months old! Yep, three months!
It’s a pretty big achievement, because in Binance Smart Chain, not many projects make it this far. A lot are lucky to see 3 days, let alone 3 months.
New projects excite people as it’s fresh hype and it’s a chance to get in early and try and make some quick money. But alot of new projects either dump immediately (as the presale price was much lower than launch price), or they have a really nice pump and then everyone sells off. That’s why most projects die very quickly in this space. Of course, there is always exceptions and I am very proud we are one of those exceptions.
Now, some of the hype may have been lost a little in MoonPirate…which is very normal for projects who make it that far. Things calm down, price consolidates and that can leave some people a little frustrated, which I completely understand. It doesn’t help that the market is still making up its mind what to do (Bitcoin still struggling). I wish projects were green candles every single day but that just doesn’t happen. All we can do is keep pushing forward, delivering as much as we can and hopefully people see that MoonPirate is still kicking and delivering and exciting people.
Ok…lots of news today. And the MoonPirate team need YOUR help to get the message out. We need investors to share/shill this information everywhere…Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, Telegram….anywhere. This is a community run project. We don’t have the luxuy of a full marketing team. We all work 9–5 jobs and are doing our best. So the more people who can share our message and the information in this article, the better. Firstly, we are going to organise a dedicated shilling day after the launch of our store (which I’ll talk more on in a little bit). We will have a countdown timer and then get as many people as possible to shill our project and make a co-ordinated effort for people to see what we have achieved. We will let you know more on this shilling day very soon.
Right, lets start off with our energy drinks. As you have probably seen on Twitter, they have finally arrived!! Now, I must say I’m actually quite relieved. They were supposed to arrive a week ago and we got an email saying they had been delivered and signed for…even though we hadn’t. Gulp!!! After lots of emails and phone calls we were really struggling to get an answer from the courier company which was leaving us feel a little nervous and quite annoyed as well. Finally, one of our team members actually visited the Courier warehouse in person and the pallet was in the warehouse the entire time. Sigh. Anyway, we now have the drinks in our possession and we got Grizzly (one of our lead MoonPirate team members) to try both of the flavours out.
His verdict was that the Seven Seas original is very similar to Red Bull, perhaps a little sweeter. If you love Red Bull type flavours and looking for something similar with a little twist, this could be the one for you.
Kraken Cherry he absolutely loved and yes it had a strong cherry flavour as you would expect, but also a hint of vanilla as well. Obviously this one is sugar free and he said you could tell, but he said the flavour is superb. So he strongly recommended both which is great.
We have 148 x 4 packs to sell in total and we are going to give two of these away (one of each flavour). The breakdown below:
73 x 4 packs of MoonPirate Kraken Cherry (for sale — US citizens only)
73 x 4 packs of MoonPirate Seven Seas Original (for sale — US citizens only)
1 x 4 pack of MoonPirate Kraken Cherry (competition — worldwide)
1 x 4 pack of MoonPirate Seven Seas Original (competition — worldwide)
Obviously they will be sold in US only (which we have said from the very start) but two lucky people will win a four pack and this is worldwide. More information on this competition is coming soon, but it will be a shilling competition of some sort.
They will be sold for $40 a 4 pack including shipping. Remember we need to not only pay for shipping, but boxes, the time/effort to send these out etc. (we are sending these ones out ourselves). It’s highly likely these two flavours “may” not exist again, so these will likely become collectors items. And, of course, they are the first crypto energy drink “which comes to life” to be sold. These will sell fast.
After we take out our initial costs (manufacturing costs, shipping, boxes etc.) we will have around $2000 to $3000 USD profit. Now, NONE of this profit will be going to any individual. It will all be going back into the project. Whether it be marketing, development, a buy and burn…we shall see. It’s community run so we may engage with the community to see what option they would like. Despite this being a relatively small batch, it shows that profit can be made and this can help the project. Imagine if the next batch was 1000 4 packs (suddenly the profit is much greater). So yes, MoonPirate is fun and it’s a governance platform to create/build/design consumables and liquor, but these consumables will have a postive effect on the project as well. And lets put money aside, the sheer fact that we have energy drinks, beer and rum is just plain cool and they market themselves through our images, videos etc. What other crypto projects are really doing anything like this (other than perhaps merchandise)? We are truly unique in this space.
Ok here is some more pics below:
You can see how close they turned out to our protoype pics (in fact the real thing looks better!)
The energy drinks will go on sale with the launch of our Pirate Cove store. This store will hopefully be ready with the next 10 days. The team is working hard on a MoonPirate template for WordPress, for easier integration with future itreations. They are coding everything manually and not using an editor. Not only are they adding Pirate Cove, but they are adding lots of pages that weren’t on the original website with more information.
Remember, we will have a big shilling day in line with the release of Pirate Cove!!!
Not only will the store be selling energy drinks, we will also have our official MoonPirate coins as well, which turned out amazing. Chris, @Moonpirate_Coins on Telegram, will be managing the sale of these.
Ok, lets move on to some beer news now.
Everyone has heard what a great success our MoonPirate Tropical IPA beer was. In fact, I have literally not heard a single negative comment about the beer…it’s fantastic and it seems everyone is in agreement. Again, and I’ve said this a few times, Catchment Brewery only make high-quality craft beer. To read my review on the beer, please read Edition #10 here.
The beer was such a great success, Catchment Brewery are looking to transform this to cans! Which is amazing! Now, there’s a few things to be aware of here. The canning process takes a while to organise (Catchment Brewery need to book well in advance) AND it’s quite an expensive process. So they can’t just perform a canning process on any old weekend, they need to ensure it occurs at a time which is beneficial to them and their timelines/costs. So we do NOT have the canning date yet, however Catchment Brewery are working out a suitable timeframe and it’s looking likely in the next 6–10 weeks (but please remember this is an estimate only).
When Catchment have an exact date, we will let everyone know. We will look to do a professional video on the canning process and so people can watch MoonPirate Tropical IPA come to life into cans!
As for the can itself, Catchment Brewery will provide a template and we can design something quite unique. Above is a prototype with the tap label, however, I think we should make the can truly unique and something which will really make people sit back and notice it. Of course, any design needs to be agreed and approved by Catchment Brewery, however we may have a number of competitions to “design the can” and we also have our MoonPirate graphic designer on board and the team may hire one or two people to create one as well. This is super exciting and the beer will be sold via the Catchment Brewery website when this has all occurred (remember it’s still some time away due to the canning process). These cans will be shipped Australia wide so other Aussies (outside of Brisbane) can taste this amazing, tropical, golden nectar.
Catchment Brewery have also agreed that a portion of sales will go directly to the MoonPirate project (potentially $10 per carton). Again, these are all steps in the right direction and we look forward to solidifying our relationship with Catchment Brewery.
But there’s more beer news. The Catchment CEO is aware that this is at least 2 months away and therefore wants to do a second MoonPirate beer in the interim (once again on tap). You will once again vote for this and design the beer label. The flavours to vote on are:
- MoonPirate Golden Ale
- MoonPirate Red Rye Ale
- MoonPirate X Marks the Spot XPA
- MoonPirate Oat Cream IPA
So yes, we have a second beer coming to Brisbane and yes, you will vote on the flavour and design the beer label. And who knows, perhaps one day this will also make it into a can just like our MoonPirate Tropical IPA.
Lastly, the rum. Get Nok were in Orlando last week speaking to distributors and things are getting closer. The recipe is still pending approval (we knew from the start this would take a while) but we are still on track for September.
The Get Nok website is still being worked on as well, but they are being very careful on what they show. Essentially there is a lot of law/regulations in the US, especially in California, and they just need to be a little careful until the recipe is officially approved. Can’t wait to bring you more news on this in the coming weeks/months.
Pirate Cove. Kraken Cherry. Seven Seas Original. Canned Beer. Second Beer. Rum Progressing. Let’s go!!
